It was celebrated in the form of Lohri function in a philanthropic school run by an ex-student of Doaba College, Jalandhar, Mr. Vivek Joshi, a disabled but devoted to the cause of service. Dr Ragbir Singh, Secretary BVP Chetna Jalandhar, during the function on account of Lohri celebration, proudly bowed before his own student who is an example for the society. He further declared that Mr Vivek Joshi is now his guru who has taught many people the lesson that if one's determination to serve is strong then even disability to move cannot stop him. He also added with full confidence that this school, having a strength of 45 students today, will surely become the Shanti Niketan of Jalandhar one day. On this occasion, woolen sweaters and jackets were distributed among the students of the school. Sh Gagneja, Mr Rajiv Jain & other associates distributed blankets for flooring to the school children.
